Security at Titan Secure

Titan Secure protects vehicles by stopping theft before it starts, so the security of our own devices, apps and cloud platform comes first. Security is led by Louis Bester, Founder, CTO & Head of Security, who is accountable for the security of every Titan product.

How we work

  • Remote vehicle commands are authorized per user, per role and per vehicle, and every command is logged with who sent it and what the vehicle did.
  • Immobilization is never automatic. It is a deliberate, confirmed action by an authorized person.
  • Changes are reviewed and tested before release, and we test our own platform, including with AI-assisted security review.
  • We fix confirmed vulnerabilities and publish advisories for issues that affect customers.

Report a vulnerability: email louis@titansecure.com. Our disclosure policy is below, and Louis explains why we publish it.

Vulnerability disclosure policy

We welcome reports from security researchers. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in a Titan Secure product or service, please tell us.

Scope

titansecure.com and its subdomains, the Partner Service Dashboard, Halo, the Titan Secure Lifestyle App, Titan APIs, and Titan in-vehicle units you own or are authorized to test.

Out of scope

Denial of service; social engineering or phishing of our staff or customers; physical attacks on our offices; spam; findings from automated scanners with no demonstrated impact.

Rules

  • Test only accounts, data and vehicles that are yours or that you have permission to test.
  • Never send a command to a vehicle that is moving or that someone else is using. Never test in a way that could put anyone on the road at risk.
  • Do not access, change or keep other people's data beyond the minimum needed to show the issue.
  • Give us a reasonable time to fix the issue before telling anyone else.

What we do

  • Acknowledge your report within 3 business days.
  • Give you an assessment within 10 business days.
  • Aim to fix confirmed issues within 90 days and keep you updated.
  • Credit you in our advisory if you want to be named.
