Titan Secure vs GPS trackers:
find it, and stop it.
Most GPS trackers are recovery tools. They help once a vehicle is already gone, and only while their signal gets through. Thieves know that: cheap jammers block the signal, and a tracker that's found can be pulled out and thrown away.
Titan has GPS and LTE at its core, so you get live location and trips for everything it protects. It adds what a tracker can't: a covert unit that stops unauthorized movement before it starts, with encrypted Bluetooth arming and tamper-aware logic. If a jammer blocks the location signal, an armed vehicle still won't drive away.
If theft is the risk you're paying to manage, choose Titan. A tracker tells you where your vehicle went. Titan shows you where it is and, when it's armed, keeps it from driving away.

| GPS tracker | Titan Secure | |
|---|---|---|
| When it acts | After the vehicle has moved | Before it moves: armed, it won't drive away |
| GPS jammers | A jammer blocks the location signal | A jammer can block location, but an armed vehicle still won't drive away |
| Relay attacks and cloned keys | Doesn't stop the vehicle; it reports where it goes | A relayed signal or cloned key doesn't move an armed vehicle |
| Alerts | Movement or unplug alerts on many models | Tamper, movement, geofence and speed alerts by app, email or SMS |
| Location and trips | Yes, its main job | Yes: live location and trips over GPS and LTE, on everything it protects |
| Installation | Plug-in, hardwired or battery-powered | Integrated by trained fitment engineers, usually in about 45 minutes |
Where a GPS tracker is enough
- You only need to know where vehicles are, not keep them from being stolen.
- A stolen vehicle would be an inconvenience you can recover from, not a loss you can't absorb.
Why Titan wins
- You'd rather the vehicle never left than find out where it went.
- Thieves in your area use jammers, relay attacks or cloned keys.
- You want location and prevention in one device, from cars to heavy equipment.
- You want an alert when someone tampers with a vehicle, not a map after it's gone.
Using both: Already paying for trackers? Titan's own GPS and LTE give you live location and trips, so you may not need them. If you keep them, Titan adds what a tracker can't: keeping the vehicle from moving in the first place.

Talk to Our TeamIs Titan Secure a GPS tracker?
Yes, and more. GPS and LTE are at Titan's core, so it shows live location and trips, with speed and geofence alerts, on everything it protects. What sets it apart from a tracker is prevention: when it's armed, the vehicle won't drive away, key or no key.
Is Titan better than a GPS tracker?
For theft, yes. A tracker can only tell you where a vehicle went once it's gone. Titan gives you the same live location and trips over GPS and LTE, and when it's armed the vehicle won't drive away in the first place. That's the tracker and the prevention in one integrated unit.
Can thieves jam a GPS tracker?
Yes. A GPS jammer drowns out the location signal, so the tracker can't report where the vehicle is. Operating, marketing or selling a jammer is illegal in the US, according to the FCC, but thieves use them anyway. A jammer can block any GPS signal, Titan's included, but Titan's prevention works at the vehicle: an armed vehicle still won't drive away.
Can thieves find and remove a GPS tracker?
Often. Plug-in trackers sit in the diagnostic port, and battery trackers tend to go in the same few hiding places, so a thief who checks can pull one out in seconds. Titan is integrated out of sight by trained fitment engineers, and you get a tamper alert the moment someone interferes with the vehicle.
Will a GPS tracker get my stolen vehicle back?
Sometimes, but you can't count on it, and rarely in the condition it left. A tracker reports only while its signal gets through, and by the time police reach the location the vehicle may be stripped, damaged or used in another crime. Titan works before that point: when it's armed, the vehicle won't drive away.
What about stolen vehicle recovery systems?
Recovery systems help police find a vehicle after it's stolen. That has value, but by then the vehicle is gone, and it can come back damaged, stripped or used in another crime. Titan works earlier, at the moment someone tries to move the vehicle.
Do I still need a tracker if I have Titan?
Usually not. Titan shows live location and trips over GPS and LTE on everything it protects, from cars to heavy equipment, alongside prevention. If you rely on an existing telematics platform for other data, it can run alongside Titan.
